A new, free edition of Serato Studio

There’s a lot of newfound downtime to be had recently – and what better way to spend it than staying creative. If you haven’t tried music production before, but are keen to dip your toes in the water, this is perfect for you.
We’ve just released a massive update to our beat making software, Serato Studio.
Serato Studio 1.4.4 now offers a feature-limited edition that is completely free to use – including the capability of saving and exporting projects.
If you need to create DJ edits, then Studio’s Audio Tracks feature is perfect for that.
We’ve released tutorials on how to create a redrum edit, quick hit edit and acapella mash-up edit.
What’s more, our Artist Relations Manager OP! takes you through a step by step guide on how to make hip hop, trap, EDM and house tracks. All of these tutorial beats are built using the free edition, and all samples used are built-in so you can follow along.
Download Serato Studio for free and get started.
The release also brings a highly-anticipated new free feature, Auto Chord Mode. This allows you to instantly generate chords using only one note, without the need for any music theory knowledge. You can easily add these in the key of your project using Play In Key Mode, and Make Drums to get the beat sitting right.
We really hope you enjoy the update and try your hand at beat making if you haven’t before. You never know, this could be the start of a brand new passion you’re yet to unlock.
As always, if you have technical issues with your Serato products, contact support@serato.com and we’ll clear it all up for you.
Have fun.
