Compressing your kicks

When you’re not compressing your kick drums, they won’t cut through the rest of the layers of your track. We used the OTT compressor by Xfer Records, which is fantastic for compressing drums. 

Apply the compressor and reduce the depth to your desired outcome. EQ to taste.

You’re away. Your kicks will punch through much harder, giving your beat an energy boost.
