Important information about discontinued hardware

It’s time to say goodbye to some of our beloved hardware. These OG tools have been getting block parties, festivals, and nights out going for years, but their time has come to an end.

Firstly, if your hardware is currently working, it will continue to do so if you don’t change your Serato DJ version or OS.

Why don’t these devices work on the latest versions of Serato DJ Pro and Lite?

They served us well, but unfortunately, these devices no longer receive driver and firmware updates from the manufacturer, which allow them to function correctly. This means they can not be supported in the latest versions of Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Lite.

There have also been changes in operating systems that have created a situation where the firmware can no longer be updated. Therefore, they’re also not supported in Windows 11 or the newer MacOS’s – Big Sur and Monterey.

How can I continue to use my legacy device with Serato DJ Pro and Lite?

Please see our Serato software & operating system compatibility for discontinued hardware article for the recommended operating systems and versions of Serato DJ to use with your legacy hardware.

The above article may require you to download an older version of Serato DJ Pro or Lite. You can access these from our download archive.

Playing in the club

RANE SL boxes are not supported from Serato DJ Pro 2.5.6 onwards. If you want to use your SL box in the club, please refer to our Serato software & operating system compatibility for discontinued hardware article to ensure you are using a version of Serato DJ Pro that supports your SL box.

Alternatively, if you’d like to connect directly to club mixers (without using an SL box), we recommend upgrading to the Serato DJ Club Kit.

The Club Kit enables you to connect directly to most club standard mixers, such as the:

  • Pioneer DJ DJM-850
  • Pioneer DJ DJM-900NXS
  • Pioneer DJ DJM-900NXS2
  • Pioneer DJ DJM-V10
  • RANE MP2015

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your understanding.
