Spotify is Now in Serato DJ

The wait is over. Spotify is now fully integrated into Serato DJ Lite and Pro. One of our most requested features ever, this update gives you instant access to millions of songs and playlists seamlessly inside Serato DJ.

For DJs, the pitch is simple: the soundtrack of your life can now guide the tracks in your DJ set. All of the sounds you know, love, and discover — flowing straight into Serato DJ. Spotify’s curated selections, personalized recommendations, and your “Liked Songs” show up in your library, ready to mix. With a single click on the Spotify icon in the search bar, explore the entire catalog at your fingertips.

Lights, Camera, House Party

To mark the launch, Serato tapped Brooklyn-born DJ and producer ForTunes for a new short film. Known for his cinematic sound and collaborations with Lauryn Hill, Rapsody and Waka Flocka, ForTunes brings the update to life in a story that plays out like a music-video-meets-urban-odyssey.

Shot across New York City, the film follows ForTunes scrambling to build a setlist while preparing for a house party with his friends. From the subway to the back seat of a taxi, inspiration follows him everywhere — and Spotify’s integration ensures every song is locked, loaded, and ready for the mix.

Here’s what you can do with Spotify in Serato DJ:

  • Spotify Premium required: Access millions of songs instantly.
  • Your music, your way: Curated playlists, “Liked Songs,” and your personal library favorites appear right inside your Serato Library.
  • Full catalog search: Tap the Spotify icon in the search bar to explore everything.
  • Always connected: WiFi streaming means your songs are there when you need them.

Things to Note

  • Playlists cannot be created in Serato, only in Spotify.
  • No Serato Stems support.
  • No offline storage.
  • No bulk track analysis.
  • Personal, non-commercial use only.
